I wandered around Florence, mainly just taking in the atmosphere and architecture of the city. The Duomo Piazza, Santa Croce, Piazza della Signoria, San Lorenzo, Santa Maria Novella, and tons of leather market stands... Then over to San Miniato al Monte where I listened to the monks chanting their liturgy, even recieving communion with them - somehow quite a moving experience. After that I headed over to watch the sunset over the city from the Piassale Michaelango. It was really nice to see and I discovered that I can sketch if I take the time to be patient! : )
