We were up early again this morning and were on the road before the children next door woke up so Eli and Lily didn't have a chance to say goodbye. However, we were given correspondence details from their Mother so Lily might end up with another pen-pal. We had seven hours to drive, according to Bob, and we completed the drive in seven and a half hours, including stops. We stopped quickly for petrol once and once to make sandwiches. Our drive would have only been five hours long, but because we decided to detour into Iowa, it took seven. Never mind, it is another state to tick off on our list. We pulled into our hotel around 3:30 and quickly moved in and relaxed. There has been tv, showers, email and planning for the next two days which we are going to spend in Chicago. A nice big bed to sleep in and we are all happy.
