Today was the day that our destiny awaited (well, that might be a bit much, but, at least we got our Honda Odyssey).

We got up and had a lovely breakfast and while we were in the final stages of packing the car to get going and drive to Cracker Barrel Country Store in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, there was a sudden crash, bang, crash, bang, bounce, bump and boom! This was followed by a yowl and scream....Lily had managed to fall down the stairs, bend her glasses flat and create a cut above her right eye. Once the screaming and crying stopped, we were able to assess the injury and after much debate we decided that she did not in fact need stitches but rather we used some butterfly closures to hold closed the slice over her eye. This delayed our departure slightly and necessitated packing a bag of ice and stopping to buy some ibuprofen for the headache she had developed. She napped a couple of times on the drive and just after lunch we met up with Tim's father who had driven down from Maine in the new (to us) Honda Odyssey. We jumped in our new car and drove another 2 1/2 hours to Harrison, Maine. This is where the vegetable and flower farm owned by Tim's dad is located.

After arriving at the farm, we unpacked the car, went for a walk in the Maine woods, and had dinner. Oh yeah, Lily also required a large angry splinter to be pulled from the bottom of her foot. She really hasn't had the best of days and said so herself. The kids went off to bed and are resting up for the evening. More adventures to come.
