On Monday morning we took the 50 minute "Metra" trainride to downtown Chicago, wherein we became bonifide tourists. We spent most of the day in the Chicago Art Institute, saw a few masters and some pretty wild contemporary art [questionable might be a better adjective], then wandered through Millenium Park - pretty incredible portrait of the city from our vantage point next to the chrome blob or whatever you call that thing.
We tried to reach Sandy Corcoran but her later message said she was returning from a trip to Wisconsin. As much as we enjoyed the welcome, comfort, and easy spirit of of our time in the Chicago area it makes sense she would be happy here and return to her youthful roots.
We still aren't accustomed to the damp cold so we hustled back to the train after a spurge on hot soup and headed back to a last night with our now favorite cousins. I am fast realizing that I should have gone to some Corcoran reunions a long time ago.
I think that is worthy of repeating.... Billy says "I am fast realizing that I should have gone to some Corcoran reunions a long time ago."

Looks like you had a great time! Especially at the Jelly Bean!
Love Chicago! Guess with Maryland joining the Big Ten - I could be visiting the Midwest more!
It's my kind of town, Chicago is...
