I think I am officially off the backpacker trail here. The poverty is overwhelming in Dili. Once you get away from the city, however, this is a beautiful country! I spent a day diving here, but was more taken by the drive along the coastline than what I saw underwater.

I also spent a day driving south and had some beautiful scenery. If I would have had the time it would have been nice to climb Mt Ramelau, but I had already made a commitment to the next part of this journey so I just enjoyed the countryside.
