Crossing the border between Honduras and El Salvador was a breeze....no problems with the dogs!

We decided to not go too far and we stayed in a small town called La Palma. The town is covered with modern painted murals, even the light poles are painted! There are loud speakers on the telephone poles that blast music throughout the day, which we thought was kind of nice.

There were so many stores here that sold used American clothes, literally two on every block! I found a nice pair of Ambercombie & Fitch shorts for $1.

Food was soooo cheap in this town! Vic and I had a fried chicken breast lunch which consisted of salad, rice beans and tortillas for $2.50 and beers for .50 cents! Papusas (like a tortilla sandwhich filled with beans, rice cheese and whatever else you want for .40 cents each.
