The bus ride to San Ignacio was only about 6 hours but it was very hot and humid on the bus with no A/C! We arrived at about 8:00pm and found a nice hotel right away ($11 US)

We headed out for dinner and found a small carnival happening. After a look we decided we better start looking for dinner and we found the usual....chicken with rice, spaghetti and fries. So that's what we had!

We stopped at a bar for a couple of beers on the way back to the hotel and thought of how much the town reminds us of the old west with it’s dirt roads and wooden boardwalks and even a stray horse or donkey wandering down the street every now and then.

One day we decided to have the moto-taxis take us for a ride around town to be sure we weren’t missing anything. We each got on one and they took us for a 20 min ride, great fun! And only $3 each.

We ended up staying 1 day longer than expected because the bus we wanted to take was sold out.
