We took a 2 hour bus ride to the tiny beach/fishing village of Cabo Polonio. The bus dropped us off on the roadside where 4 wheel drive trucks were waiting to take us on the 5 mile trek across the sand dunes into the actual town.
The town is on a beautiful and long stretch of beach with colorful rustic beach shack-houses. Vic said he felt like he was at a Grateful Dead show! The town is like a large colorful hippie village, there is no electricity in the town so the Hostel we stayed at used a car headlight bulb for our room light, attached to wires leading to a car battery. For a shower they would heat up hot water on the stove and mix it with cool water, fill it in bucket that is above your head in the bathroom that has a shower head connected to it!
The most spectacular of all was one beach in town that had a huge amount of sealions, it was so amazing to see so many at one time in their natural habitat.
