Where I stayed
We boarded the bus in Salta for a 20 hr ride to Puerto Iguazu.
We arrived in Puerto Iguazu at 10:00 am and walked to our hostel. We were now in a more tropical area and had a swimming pool to enjoy. The town itself is fairly small and easy to get around on foot. We became fast friends with Trevor and Rosie Watts, who were also staying at our hostel. They are from England and were celebrating their honeymoon! They told us about a fabulous area that sold meat, cheeses, olives and wines. With tables out in front of each stall to enjoy your purchase. We ended up in this area quite a few times!
We spent a few days just relaxing by the pool and an entire day at Iguazu Falls. Nothing can prepare you for the spectacular sight of the falls, it just takes your breath away!! We were so glad we took the boat launch up to the falls. They actually put the boat right under the falls, what an experience! The walk around the entire park was just beautiful. There were ramps over the falls and beside the falls, butterflies and birds everywhere. A must see!
