Okay so this week I have started buying things for the orphanage at first I wanted to buy things for the wall to make being in the play pen more interesting as all they have to look at is chipped paint. The next idea on my mind was to buy a floor mat like at a gym to make being in the play pen comfier, also so they don’t bang their heads every second of the day. After talking to the matron and some other people I realised what’s necessary and what’s just a good idea, necessary items such as nappies, soap, washing powder, floor cleaner, antibiotic creams, you expect them to have all the time but at times they do not. So I took a trip in to town and bought all the necessary items:

- 15 bars of antibacterial soap

- 10 tubes of antibiotic cream

- 56 Nappies

-5kg of washing machine powder

- A giant bar of clothes hand washing soap, and three little ones.

-2 bottles of floor cleaner

-2 bottles of talcum powder

-5 tubes of tooth paste

- 2 pots of ear buds

After buying all this I still have enough money to buy more so the next day I took another trip in to town and bought loads of toys.

- 2 big balls

-5 bags of building blocks

-5 rattle

-2 rattle balls-

-10 plastic hoops

-2 soft toys

-some random Cars

-a very cool boat (which they now fight over)

The day I took the toys in the children were so happy they hadn't’t had toys before apart from the five which have been there for years. It was amazing to see the difference in there behavior, finally something to occupy them. The matron was also very pleased with the necessities that I bought to the orphanage, but I still have loads in my cupboard at the house, we will take a Bunddle each week. We have to do this as the women who work at the orphanage have been know for stealing, so if we give the shopping to the matron in bundles we know they are safe and that the children will eventually see the benefits of it. The toys have to be taken to and from the orphanage too. One of the girls from the other organization has also been buying things for the orphanage mainly clothes and OMG they all look so adorable. Ricseany is a little girl but is bigger than the rest so there has never been any girl clothes which fit now she has a beautiful pink dress awwww!!!!. Deluka is a little baby girl and has not long started to crawl she was wearing a pretty little dress too.

A woman came in to the orphanage today who works in intensive care units for baby's (I'm not sure of her full title) she has given us some pointers on how we can help Benjamin. Benjamin is 1 or over but looks like a old man and is still at the stage of most of the babies under one, he is lacking in mussels and still struggles to crawl, but we have now been given some exercise to do with him which will help alot.
It has been pretty bad in the orphanage this week, some of the volunteers went in one morning and most babies were sharing a cot and had no nappies on so you could imagine, but yet they said there was a cot still full of smiley babies. There is also a disabled 14 year old who really should not be in the orphanage the woman do not know what to do with him so he just lies there bored and motionless, he only really gets attention when the volunteers usually finding out his nappy hasn't been changed for hours!!
We have also had a new arrival a Young boy aged 4-5, just handed to the orphanage because the parents are getting divorce !!! he cried all day.
Some of the good sides are a little girl has been taking her first steps, and my little will smith will soon be walking i have no doubt.
I will be going in to town soon to buy some more medicines for the orphanage as there are so many different types of bugs going around one little room.
