Visited lots of places in Lyon today. Made good use of their underground metro train and boy is it efficient. Went to the Cinema Lumiere Museum which is the house where the guys that invented cinematography lived. It had lots of old pieces from the early days of cinema. Cinematography was first invented in 1895. Then trained back to old Lyon and walked along all sorts of cobble stone lane ways and saw heaps of cute shops and cafes everywhere. Discovered the Museum of Miniatures and Film Sets where lots of pieces that have been used in films over the years are displayed. Also found the theatre and museum of the Guignol Puppets that date back from 1929. Then found 2 different silk shops that still show how they weave silk and also printing it. The Silk industry has always been big in Lyon. Of course nowadays the raw silk comes from China. After my long day caught train to Beaune which is a country town right in the heart of the province Burgundy which is famous for its wines and snails. I actually had some for the first time tonight and they were tasty with mushrooms, cream sauce made into a puff pastry pie. YUM!'
