Well have been on 6 different trains today. Left Zurich at 8am and arrived in Bern at around 7pm. Trained to Luzern to then catch the Golden Pass train which is a scenic train tour that takes you through the Swiss Alps from Luzern to Mountreux in the south of Switzerland. It involves a few stops and train changes via Interlarken and Zweisimmen. It was really something special and even though I took photos there was so many beautiful parts that I don't think photos do it justice. You need to be there to appreciate it. When I left Zurich it was cloudy but once on the tour it was blue skies the whole way. Coming into Montreux you could see the French influence with all the vineyards. Coming down the alps into Montreux was a spectacular sight as it is built on a huge lake and it was a very windy path down. Once I left Montreux I headed for Lausanne to then connect with a train to Bern where I am for a day. It's been a really good day with lots of special pictures in my mind that I will hold forever. Even saw a big herd of real reindeers but wasn't quick enough with my camera. Can't get over how much running water there is here and it is so clear and clean. No water restrictions here.
