This is the beginning of travels with Ingrid whom I married April 22nd, 2004. As Vancouver was my 'home' before Ottawa, having emigrated there from the UK in 1951. I did all my schooling in Vancouver including my professional designation (Chartered Accountant) and graduate degree (M.A.) at UBC and SFU.

Showing Ingrid Vancouver in 3 days during which she was also attending a training session for her employer, was a challenge. Vancouver (like any interesting locale) or large urban area, cannot be shown adequately in less than a week. It is known that one day in Stanley Park, a day for Little Mountain and a quick tour of the UBC campus or a day up any of the local mountains, not including the two days to do any justice to Whistler/Blackcomb is all a given...

Our travels have continued despite health holdbacks for both of us. We have tried layback holidays with scuba-diving as the big challenge (Barbados) and sea-kayaking with one meter long mississaugua rattlers at our tent on the other end of hardships! We take each year at a time and accept what comes our way. So far, we are full of fond memories and have no reason to believe that the vessel is only partly full...
