Gruenberg is one of that places where you feel that time here runs a bit slower. It seems that nothing has changed since our last visit here in 2005. Adding that we had no special plans for this day and wanted just to have a rest, all this resulted that we just cruised through the old downtown for the whole day.

We stayed at my grand-aunt Bronia's place. She and her husband Jozef were very generous and helpful despite that they both were way over their 80-s and it was extremely hard for them to accept guests. We are very grateful.

Few interesting things we noticed:
-in general, locals look more fit than Ukrainians. I've checked a gym here: huge hall, lots of new and quality gear, nicely priced (20PLN for a visit).
-here in Z.G. there'are many old buildings from German era. Most of them need a serious restoration but in central part of the old city only few a restored completely: the majority has only ground floors redone, where boutiques and caffes are located.
