Deception Island is an active volcano whose crater has collapsed and flooded. We attempted to break through a patch of sea ice with the ship to go for a swim in the thermal hotsprings, but there was too much ice for the zodiacs to get through. We then did another rubber boot climb to a volcano crater. From that point we were on our way back to Ushuaia.
