We set forth to kill an elk and while we did ultimately fail in that respect the slaughter of a moose was enough to sate our bloodlust. Jerrod and I dropped a moose at650 yards, he hit it in the rear ankle and i shot it right below the front right quarter. I laid down in the bush and we hiked out and finished it off...big thanks to Jerrod, Justin and Dustin for hauling all that meat the mile out through 2 feet of snow...Hercules Hercules! We then raced home and packed for my trip to the South Pacific. We drove to Calgary and Celina did her training stuff and then we went skiing in Banff for the 24th and 25th...it was amazing. The snow was great and while it was a bit cold (minus 20) the snow and good people made up for it. Thanks to the U of Calgary Ski CLub again for another awesome trip. Jerrod ripped it up like a pro and Kyle decided he need to jump 25 feet off a cliff onto flat ground...sorry theres no pics. On the 26th I had a sad goodbye with the beautiful Celina. Hardest thing I've ever done.
...but my good mule Kyle and I were off to discover a continent...
