12 - 13 Sep - Spent a couple of days exploring the sights of Prague including Prague Castle - St Vitus Cathedral where Matt took his prized photo of Dumbledore, The Story of Prague Museum, and the Basilica and Convent of St George housing Czech and European works of Art from the 16-19th century.  We headed downhill into Mala Strana to see the 'Piss' sculpture by Czech artist David Cerny with 2 figures piddling in a puddle shaped like the Czech Republic!  In Kampa Park on the edge of the river where we stopped for a drink Matt sat on a big baby, thankfully not baby Guilton (which we hope will be a lot smaller!)
The architecture and scenery are breathtaking and this is definitely a tourist destination with every kind of experience catered for although it's still not overdone.
On the Stare Mesto (Old Town) side of Charles Bridge narrow and crowded streets lead to Starometske nam (the main square) where on the clock tower of the old town hall the astronomical clock entertains the crowds on the hour with its parade of apostles and a bell ringing skeleton!  It was amazing how the crowds suddenly appeared and applauded the event each time then swiftly dispersed once more!
We got stuck into the local Czech cuisine serenaded by some old fellas singing traditional Czech songs which we later found out were naughty!  Found we aren't big fans of the bread and potato dumplings, but Matt is loving the beer!
On the way to Vienna today via Brno which is in the South of the country, it's nice to have a day off from walking to let our tired and aching feet recover.  Looking forward to seeing what Austria's got to bring to the party....

B & Dunc on

There seems to be an abnormal amount of eating going on during this trip...this is just some clever excuse for a gastronomic adventure covered up under the ruse of 'camper van travelling experience' - ingenious.

Anyhow, this all looks most tremendous. Carry on!
