4 Sep - Arrived Rotterdam to disembark at 8.30am local time.  Drove through the industrial scenery of Rotterdam and arrived in Hengelo around 1pm to meet Irene, Matt's friend from travelling in Australia.  We settled into her pad with a bite to eat and a little nap after a sleep deprived journey on the ferry.  That night we went to a music festival in Hengelo, apparently the biggest thing to happen to the town in years, perfect timing! 

5 Sep - A day of sightseeing around Ootmarsum, Delden and Borne, neighbouring villages of Hengelo.  Had dinner at a traditional Dutch pancake house, yum!
