Yes Paris is a little dirty and road rules seem optional but it is an amazing place to explore.  I have always thought the Eiffel Tower was a bit of a has been...but i could not have been more wrong.  Our trip to and up this magnificent monument will live clear in my memory forever.  It is a must visit.  The view of the city is extraordinary, the hugeness of the structure is breathtaking and the ride in the lift up 1000+ feet of the tower is (at least for one of us) more than a bit scary.  Paris is more than just the Eiffel Tower, but it is the Tower that makes it such a special place.

A few other things we have done:

1. Walked a hell of a lot!
2. Visited the Notre-Dame
3. Strolled through the Jardin du Luxembourg and watched some the best Petanque players ever
4. Got a ride up the Avenue Des Champs Elysees in a Rickshaw type bike - definitely the scariest way to get through a Paris roundabout...nearly got mowed down by a crazy scooter and a big black bus!

Tomorrow we are off to Versailles and the Louvre...big day!
