Our last day in Scotland was spent enjoying castles of all shapes and sizes. Caerverlock Castle actually had a moat filled with water. Threave Castle was on an island and we were taken across on a boat. Yesterday we visited Stirling Castle which is on the top of a hill in the city of Stirling and we could see across to the monument of William Wallace. Last night we stayed in Dumfries, the home of Robert Burns. Tonight we are in Stranrear in a lovely guest house overlooking the harbour where we will catch a ferry tomorrow. Ireland here we come!!!!!!!!!
