Well my time in Houston to say the least has been interesting. I learned how to 2 step and speak Texas twang. I had some great teachers. Burson and Chrissy and the 2 kids Brock and Blaine. I has the opportunity to also go into firefighter mode when there was a bad accident in front of their place. No injuries but had to direct these wild Texan drivers.
Burson took me over to Galveston but unfortunattly it rained, so I only got a few pictures. We took the ferry over to Point Bolivar and saw some porpoises playing in the water on the way over.
I was able to see the Point Bolivar lighthouse which is at the western tip of Bolivar Peninsula. It was built in 1871 and was the third lighthouse at this location. The first one was a 65-foot red tower which was taken down in 1862 and put in storage during the Civil War. A three-story wooden tower was erected in its place 1865 and replaced by the current tower in 1873.
We also took a ride along the Gulf in Galveston and watched the surfers in the rain. It did quit for a few minutes and I was able to put my feet in the warm water.
The rest of the time was spent relaxing and getting ready to leave in the morning heading for Florida.

Somethings Big, Somethings Small
So that's you infront of a PumpJack, Talk about being Dwarfed by the massiveness of the PumpJack... and speaking of the massiveness of things, I always knew Burson and Chrissy's House was large, but OMG, that LARGE... NO wonder your Wireless connection was so intermittant in that Dwelling. Well, it's that time again for you to head out on the road again, and as always, drive safe and happy trails. Look forward to hearing from you soon.. :-)
