I decided today to go into the town of Boerne where I had stayed the night. I had gone in town last night but could not see a thing.
The town is a very charming little town that sits in the hill country outside of San Antonio. It consist of mainly old historic buildings and lots of Antique shops that I spent some time in. I was able to experience some of Texas little town charm and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I then headed to Aransas pass which is close to Corpus Christi on the Gulf of Mexico and spent the might there. I met a friend over in Port Aransas which is a town on Mustang Island across from Aransas Pass that you have to get to by way of a car ferry. The ride across, takes all of about 5 minutes. I met with Phil and we had a nice dinner and drinks at one of the seafood restaurants on the island. I learned from Phil that the island is frequented by bird watchers and has one of the highest bird counts on the Gulf Coast. Phil was one of the first people to talk with me in the chat room I hang out in and was so glad to have met him in real life. Thank you again Phil.
