For your information, Gwangju is in the southwest of Korea. Third or forth biggest city of South Korea, home to a famous baseball team, I saw that there is a big car manufacturing side, and the area is famous for its vegetables. But at all it is not a city to be a must on the South Korea tour, on the other side it is a totally korean city to discover, without any westerners except some english teachers.
My personal biggest challenge: For me as a tourist it was not easy to find the right trainstation. That was my biggest challenge in Gwangju, to get out to Mokpo. Finally a bus stopped at the distance bus station.
