Where I stayed
Jared Newland's house
We spent a day in Laramie, Wyoming catching up with Darren's friend and old roommate Jared who works at Wyoming University. We were able to catch a quick tour of the university in the morning. Two interesting facts - at 7,200 feet of elevation, War Memorial Stadium is the highest stadium in the country and when it sells out, it becomes the third largest city in the state.
We then drove down through Steamboat Springs for an afternoon. The weather was rainy and overcast but we still had to check out Strawberry Park Hot Springs which we had heard about from several people we had met during out trip. The springs were very nice but would have been even better following a long cold winter day of skiing.
We then drove back to the cabin in Switzerland Park near Nederland, Colorado to attend the annual camp picnic. We had a nice time eating great food and hanging out with neighbors from the park.
