We stopped into Jackson Hole, Wyoming for a night and enjoyed some dinner and micro-brews. Jackson was a cool town, but quite touristy. We discovered the Grand Targhee Festival taking place nearby just west of the Grand Tetons and had a great lineup including Austin's James McMurtry and The Wallflowers on Saturday. We decided to go to the festival on our way to Bozeman the next day and witnessed McMurtry rocking the crowd. The independent-minded Northwesterners were digging his defiant lyrics. It was great to see McMurtry live outside of Austin and he definitely stole the show. You gotta love seeing a bunch of white people in hats dancing. Following the concert, we had a long, late drive up to Bozeman and finally arrived at 2AM.
