Alamos is a small town of about 10,000 people.  It has an influence of 17th-century Andalucian architects, and was declared both a national historic monument and one of Mexico's thirty-two Pueblos Magicos (Magical Towns).  It is currently undergoing a two-year project to remove all telephone poles and bury electricity lines in a bid to become a Unesco World Heritage site.

From mid-October to mid-April, when the temperature is most pleasant, U.S. and Canadian retirees take up residence in their winter homes in Alamos.

We stayed in Alamos for two days.  It was long enough for Darren to catch a little March Madness in Espanol.
