Where I stayed
The Swiss Inn, D' Oriental Inn
After many transfers by boat and bus, we arrived early morning in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We found a hotel and got some rest and headed out into the city.
We were surprised at how many parks and gardens the city has and how friendly the people are here. They're very helpful and speak English fairly fluently.
On Saturday, November 15th, we visited the Menara Tower, the 4th tallest communications tower in the world. We walked into the business district of the city as well and saw a big mall and masses of people.
Sunday, November 16th, we went by the Petronas Towers (state-owned oil company), but all the tickets were gone for the day to tour the tower. We tried to visit some drum circle we read about in our guide book but it wasn't happening. We did discover a beautiful park that it was in and discovered the National Monument.
We visited the Batu Caves on November 17th so we could hang out in the rain, see a big Buddha, and walk exorbitant amount of stairs.
Tomorrow, off to Bali...
