Had a gorgeous drive over the Simplon pass to Como with Belinda and XY. I always forget just how close and stunning the lake district is. Staying over at a small town on the end of Lake Lugano (on the Italian side) we came back via Como on Sunday (great lunch at a xute restaurant) and through the freeway close to Milan.
Driving in Italy is always fun. Once we worked out that we were going to make the Simplon train tunnel we made a dash for it. The catch being the train was full! So it was load up on choc milk and do the pass, which thankfully, despite the rain hadn't snowed over and was safe for us to do in summer tyres!
