Where I stayed
Eventually drove across town to the hotel where we started, to pick up the new starters, but we had quite a break as 3 of them were running late. Mostly Australians and New Zealanders, but finally two German girls to at least add a token variety to the mix. The truck is now completely full, with every seat taken, and every nook and cranny loaded with food, drink and gear. Somebody has to ride up front with the driver if Amos wants a seat.
Did a game drive on the way to the campsite. It's quite a small park, and is principally home to elephants and zebras. Saw large groups of elephants wandering across the swamps - 20 or 30 in each group - with lots of babies, some born in the last week, but not much else.
There was a possibility of upgrading when we got into camp, so we decided on a cottage. Very basic, but a change from a tent. The toilet did work, and the shower had cold water, but there was no drain in the shower so the bathroom filled like a lake. There was a basin, but no taps or drain, so you couldn't wash your hands at all.
