Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a federal holiday here but everything except the banks and post office is open.

This morning we visited the Kartchner Caverns and toured two spectacular caves. The caves were discovered in 1974 but were not opened to the public until 1999 after $36 million was spent putting in walkways and other amenities. We toured the Rotunda Room and the Throne Room, two breathtaking rooms with an incredible number of stalagmites, stalactites, columns, and other unusual formations. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures.

At the campground we decided to join in for the pot luck supper. As I was sitting down, the man next to me said that he knew us. I couldn't remember him and his wife until he said we met in Nappanee, Indiana at the Newmar factory. This was back in September. I had to think about it for a few moments and then I remembered they were there to have the motorhome serviced and we talked about our trips. After supper they came back to our motorhome and we spent the evening together. They had travelled from Indiana to Benson via Florida. .What a coincidence that they were in the same campground as us and that we had both decided to attend the pot luck supper.
