Where I stayed
We left Quartzsite this morning and travelled through the desert to Yuma. What's amazing to us are the number of RVs scattered throughout the desert, parked here, there, and everywhere. Most of the route took us through military lands that are the proving grounds for various aircraft and vehicles. We were surprised that we didn’t see much military activity, just a couple airships that we think were being used for surveillance since they seem to be stationary in the air.
We’ll be staying in Yuma for a month in a campground that is noted as being a resort. It’s a gated community of 453 lots with amenities and activities that would keep anyone busy. The brochures actually compare it with being on a cruise. I’ll probably be updating the blog on a weekly basis while we are here.
