Today we stayed at Casa Cares for seminars. We had an italian counselor and psychiatrist come speak to us about the counseling profession in Italy. Did you know that all of the counseling schools in Italy are private for profit institutions? When you are a student in the counseling programs in Italy, you are given one test at the end of your third year. One test?? Hearing this made me realize how far the US has come in counseling. Honestly, every day in Italy is a new and memorable experience. After the seminars, the fun really began. We took a walk to view the wine and olive presses at a local church. Can you imagine what life would be like if you could walk down the street to get both olive oil and wine? And, can you imagine being attacked by a peacock? This is the reality for visitors and residents of Casa Cares lol.( we didnt really get attacked-watch the video) After the tour, we came home to learn how ricotta cheese is made. Then to wine down the night, we had a good time with other students and Dan played the guitar and made us a song. That video will be uploaded also. Enjoy!!
