Flying Back Home

Another trip comes to an end.

It is not however the same as with other trips. For Cyprus it is more painful.

No matter how many days I stay on the island it always seems that it is never enough.

I have lunch at home with Mum and my sister, and leave for the airport.

It is the first time that the suitcase was ready 2 days earlier because almost nothing of what I had brought could be used here.

In general it was a very interesting trip where I had the chance not only to see my friends and relatives, but also make new friends, and meet new people.

I will never forget the kindness of the people I met throughout these 12 days of staying on the island, who tried to make my trip joyful and interesting.

How can I forget the kindness of that Turkish –Cypriot woman who opened her house and allowed me to take photos because it used to be the house of my Aunt before the war in 1974! Of course, I owe this to my friend Antoni who drove me there.

The couple in Tochni, and Agni and Dino in Kalopanagiotis who have become real good friends!

And of course I can assure everyone that the Cypriot Hospitality exists and I am very proud of this.  It depends on you to seek for it.  I found very kind people, and I am not surprised at all that they are open hearted, and keep the Cypriot traditions and customs.  For these people, it is worth another trip back soon. I can't wait to visit more Agrotourism Houses, and make more friends.

See some nice photos that I had the chance to take from the plane on my way back to Athens!

Now, where and when the next trip is……?  I have no idea.  Time will show. Surely after the holidays.

Photographs of the sunset are really outstanding. Any chances of you looking towards Asia for your next holiday? :)
