Timios Stavros Church in Tochni

I enter the chamber of the complex and I see suitcases scattered in the open apartments. I call my friend Athina and inform her that I need permission to have a look on the whole complex and take some photos. I am surely planning to return here again, so I need to see other rooms as well. She tells me that it is fine with her and that the people are coming sometime later but she has no idea of the time.
The complex is really beautiful, and in every apartment there is always something unique that you cannot find in the other.
I meet Athena an hour later, and together we go to the community
Athina arranges that if I am free tomorrow I go and watch how the Cypriot cheese (challoumi) is made.
I only wish I have time for this tomorrow, but I am going to try and join the people who are coming in this, but also other complexes throughout the village. I am told that they are about 65 in all scattered to the different houses.
I meet Athina and together we see some people. I meet a nice lady who lives permanently in the United States but spends her summers in Tochni. Before returning home I decide to light a candle in the impressive church of the village. It is the very old and very famous church of "Timios Stavros" (honorable cross) of St. Constantinos and Eleni.
The church of Tochni and Stavrovouni were built by St. Eleni. Inside the silver cross there is a piece from the holy cross of Jesus.
By the time I return to my apartment the complex is full. I meet the girls outside in the garden, and we talk for a little before I go upstairs to have a shower, rest a bit and get ready to go for dinner at the restaurant opposite the church.
