POTOS - a popular village in Thasos Island

This village is approximately 40 kms from Kinira, the place where we stay.

It has a small port for sailing and fishing boats, and it is very popular with tourists.

Crowds of people are walking through its narrow streets, and vendors are anxiously trying to sell their goods. There are many restaurants and bars just next to the beach.  Besides souvenirs which are found everywhere, there are shops which sell honey……but I am not sure of their quality.

Honey is supposed to be very popular, but I know for sure that down in southern Greece honey is of excellent quality.  I would never buy from here.

The best honey is the one that is made from bees that are near thyme plants.

The sun is really hot now.

I run to the beach for about 45 minutes.  There are many people swimming while others are sunbathing.  The nearby bars and coffee shops are full of people who enjoy this beautiful day like us.

We have lunch at a nearby restaurant after the beach.  I have a dish of spring rolls – and they are superb!

The day tomorrow is very promising as well…..! A summer day again.  We don't  plan to have any trips, but just go down to the beach.  I have chosen a great coast for tomorrow, and I am looking forward to it.
