We are traveling from Athens to Thasos Island.
The trip is long, and I try to get photos as always on the whole tripl
The new highways have changed the trip a lot. Of course the trip is shorte now, but we have no longer the chance to pass through the nice little villages and cities we used to pass many years ago.
To be honest, I am a bit disappointed because we are just driving through these motorways, but at the same time I have to admit that we reach a destination faster.
I have prepared sandwiches for the trip as we don't want to make frequent stops.
We leave Athens at 8.20am and reached Keramoti at 3.30.
The ferries from Keramoti sail every30 minutes, and the cost is 3 euros per person, and 16 euros for the car. Of course the bigger the car the more you pay. Our car is normal. A Mercedes for example pays 20. If it is smaller than ours it is much cheaper of course.
