THE WATERFALL NEAR POTAMOS - Samos Island
Trip Start May 25, 2009
111Trip End Sep 30, 2009
A small river with a waterfall spreads out among the thick vegetation. We follow it taking with us hats to protect ourselves from the sun, but the thick vegetation soon proves that hats are not needed. It is so pleasant walking through this gorge!
WALKING DISTANCE – About 800 metres:
When we reached the final point, and we were supposed to see the waterfall, we found out that we had to walk further into water, that comes approximately up to our waiste, to see it
Instead I asked some people to show me the small video they had taken from the waterfall before leaving. I believe that people who go there should have their swimming suits on if they wish to walk and see it. It was pity that we did not see it after walking all the way up there, but at least I saw the video.
The walk however through the dense wood of thick vegetation, was worth it. Believe me, I wished it had been longer!
