WHAT IS GIOVANNI LIKE AS A PERSON?



From the Scala Opera House to the Caprice. This is the new Executive Chef of the Londa, -Giovanni Caracciolo.




I am impressed not only with the outstanding dishes I tried here but with Giovanni's personality as well.



Well, the new Chef indeed makes the difference at the Caprice with a new air of Italian passion and with his outstanding creations.



I find him very charismatic and talented…. but what is Giovanni really like as a person?
This is exactly what I want to take out of him over a friendly chat.

He seems ambitious and speaks with passion and excitement about his profession and new post. Impressed as I am with his "Sicilian Tube" dessert (urging you to try it) I tell Giovanni that he could easily have become an artist as well.



He smiles and replies,



"But I am an artist Popi, -I am a painter as well"



So besides a devoted Executive Chef Giovanni is an artist -he admits it, so he must be sensitive as well.
He proves it in a while as our conversation goes on.

We talk about life in general, of how so many beautiful things are around that remain unnoticed. About things and situations taken for granted.  We both agree that these simple everyday things make the difference.

See what Giovanni thinks and the way he comments about the huge difference of dining out at a Gourmet Restaurant to that of being hungry and can't wait to fill up the belly.

He says,

“When you dine at a Gourmet Restaurant, you are not there just because you are hungry.
If you only wanted to fill your belly you could go out for some kebab or a pizza.
The reasons we visit an Elegant Restaurant is to share with a loved one or a friend an experience that pleases on several fronts, - a Sophisticated comfortable environment, perhaps a Beautiful view or Décor that includes Well-chosen Art, Intelligent music that allows for conversation, Smooth  attentive service, a Well-assembled Wine list, and Food that is not only Tasty and Skilfully Crafted but also Beautiful to look at.

Satisfying your hunger is almost secondary”.


Giovanni is so right and I can’t agree less. Our little chat ends here, I thank him and assure him that I will be back to taste more of his dishes.


With Giovanni Caracciolo, Caprice has become the top notch taste experience.
The restaurant is a remarkable place to be with an exquisite atmosphere ideal for Gourmet Dining. I have to agree that Giovanni has taken the menu to an even Higher Level.


All you have to do is come and taste his Amazing Cuisine!
