SAINT  TOMAS  ISLAND

We are in Charlotte Amalie Street.  It is a Market street actually known for Duty Free goods.
Anyone wishing to stay here and do some shopping and have a stroll  around can do so.....the others can have a tour around the castle of Bluebeard of the white sands. We take along our swimming suits and our beach bags, and we are anxious to get down the beach for a swim....after all these days of sailing.

We are driven through thick exotic roads in those picturesque local buses and it is fun.  All of us are excited and we talk so loudly.  We are happy!!

On board the ship we met a couple and we have become friends.  Katerina thought that she wanted to do some shopping and having a stroll in the streets of St. Thomas.  She stayed back alone.
Her husband Periklis  kept telling us how stupid of her to stay and not come to this tour.

He is right because this is the BEST PART of the whole trip. After all these days, being summer, we are in the middle of paradise, and there is NO CHANCE of sunbathing at all.

We are driven to the most beautiful beach in the world.  We are here, and it is true.
The name of the beach is "MAGEN'S BAY"
Nothing can stop us.
A combination of white sandy palm beach, and crystal turquoise waters. Thick natural forest! What else do we need!!!

Oh yes, we really need to stay for at least a week here.  Here is the peak of the whole trip.
And our friend Katerina is not here!!!
How could she do such a thing to herself!!!

And the bad news is that we have just got one hour to sunbathe.....Just an hour.  I want to scream.
I want to die HERE!!!!

The feeling of the crystal waters and the exotic surroundings make every single person here feel  lucky to be born and be here.
Sea gulls and exotic huge birds are flying just next to us and over our heads.  There are people in the very end of the beach with flippers and snorkels swimming over corals and watch the colorful fish and beauty of the seabed.

The time flies!!!!
I can't believe it.  Nobody wants to get out and dry.
Nobody wants to leave!

I think I am never going to have a cruise in my life again.  I can't stand being on the move all the time.
I need more relaxed holidays, and from now on I want to spend time on each place I go.  Not like a fugitive!!

We left the beach and we have this panoramic view from the road above.  It is gorgeous!
We are heading towards BLUEBEARD, where we take several photos, and  offered a cocktail, and then return all the way back to the ship.

The trip is coming to an end for almost all the passengers including my husband who are flying back to Athens .

I have to wait in the airport several hours to take the plane and fly to NEW YORK for 10 more days!

This is such a pleasant stop this summer. The panoramic view of Virgin Island is similar to El Nido Beach Resorts in Palawan Philippines
