SAN JUAN - PUERTO RICO
It's the 7th day today, and we have come to San Juan.
We are very anxious to disembark because we need to call our children. Today is the day when my daughter is going to know whether she passed her University exams or not.
GOOD NEWS!!!
My daughter has good news for us. Having been a good student we expected her to pass of course, but still we had to be sure.
The view of the city and the port makes us anxious to get ashore. Well, here we are and ready to explore the city.
We have a stroll in the old city of San Juan, and we visit the castle. The view is wonderful from up here.
We are advised by the leader to be careful because it is dangerous walking in the streets alone, as we can be robbed. Luckily nothing such thing happened, and I am glad that I found some exotic fruit which I bought from a native lady selling them under a huge tree.
I love the buildings, and the people here seem happier than the natives on the Bahamas Island.
The old city is beautiful, and I love the Latin rhythm. We are told that we might be approached by guys who might come near us to robb us, and we are a bit scared. We have to be alert and keep our bags in our hands or shoulders.
Well, the time has come and we have to get on the cruise ship again.
I start to get fed up with it because I would prefer to visit these beautiful places but have the chance to spend more time in every place.
I am bored on the cruise ship and I don't know if I would ever decide to go to another cruise holiday.
The very old people in the cruise however seem to be enjoying it. Whenever I pass by them they chew something in their mouth. The men usually are gathered around the bar drinking.
The cruise ship sails off the port at 0.1.00 in the evening. We are now sailing towards our last destination - The Island of Saint John.
