TRAVELLING TO PRAGUE
Trip Start Jul 14, 2001
19Trip End Aug 03, 2001
We went on our own, but joined a Greek tour there just for the tour.
It was fun, but a bit tiring.
We had a good guide, but she wanted to show everything in one day!
We were walking and walking and walking......and I remember there was a moment that I got so dizzy I almost fainted.
It is a beautiful city, and promised my self to go back there soon.
This is my second trip to Prague actually, because with my family had spent 2 nights in Prague when I was about 16, coming back from New York
I asked to see the hotel we had spent the two nights but I was told that it is now a Casino.
No wonder!.... The hotel we had spent 2 nights back in those years really looked like a Palace.
From that first trip here in Prague what I remember most was when we were kept at the airport.
We were refused to let fly and my mum was crying and begging them to allow us to get on board the plane.
There was police back in those years, and people asking questions.
The mistake we had done was that instead of waiting for the mini bus that was supposed to come and pick us from the hotel,.....well my mum decided to get a taxi and get to the airport faster.
That was the mistake which we had to pay.
Just a few minutes before taking off, they allowed us to get on board the plane and fly to Cyprus. The plane was really old, and we were looking forward to landing in Cyprus.
Anyway, things have changed so much, and now it is a free country.
All people in the group were anxious to visit a galary and buy the famous bohemian glass items. They were all disappointed however I can remember because these authentic crystal cost a lot.
Impressions - THE BEST!!
