The Fig Tree Bay -PROTARAS
On my way back to Protara I take a bus and I come off at the height of the pier. I have a pleasant stroll throughout the Fig Tree Bay coast for pictures, sad though because the water is still cold and there is no way I get in the sea.
Later on in the afternoon when I return to the hotel I ask to get to the highest point of the building for some more shots. Somebody from the staff is told to accompany me all the way up because the door is locked but once up there I had the most stunning view of the bay and the round area.
Sit back comfortably, press the first photo to open and enjoy this virtual photo trip thinking that you are out here with me.

wow Popi what a lovely beach but is it free or do people have to pay to use those beach chairs and if u don't can u just sit on the sand and bask
Stewart you have to admit that I virtually travel you to the most beautiful beaches!
As everywhere the fee is 2.5 euro per bed and 2.5 for an umbrella. It is a way for the Municipality to get some money however of course you can bask and sit on the beach or leave your clothes out and swim. Nobody will touch them. However the premises have free beds and umbrellas and the view of the bay from up there is stunning!
