I am back from Ayia Napa, get to my room for a quick shower and I come to the restaurant to ask for some yoghurt.

The Nissi Health Club is above the reception and it hosts facilities that meet the needs of the most demanding guest. I am impressed with the beautiful indoor pool and I notice that a number of treatments offered are of good value.

With a robe and slippers on I get to the Spa where Zana expects me. She is a charismatic lady and a nice person.

Stones body massage is part of the treatment I am having this afternoon. For two and a half hours the professional and so experienced hands of my therapist help me relax and unwind.  It is the first treatment I have where I feel like talking with this lady and I ask her to explain the benefits of the whole package, so there she is telling me in detail what all is about.  It is amazing how in the end we hugged and kissed each other like friends.

Hot stone massage therapy uses water-heated basalt lava stones of varying sizes in combination with traditional massage techniques. The heated stones create a feeling of continuous heat throughout the body, to help it become physically and emotionally receptive to the therapeutic benefits of the massage.

Zana tells me that the hot stone massage is more effective than conventional massages due to localized heat. Circulation, cellular activity and joint mobility are improved and a good supply of oxygen and nutrients are encouraged to the skin and muscles.

It is a treatment that stimulates metabolism and opens energy centres. It also helps restore the body's natural equilibrium.

I highly recommend it.
