Rovies is another beautiful and very popular holiday destination located about 96 Kms from Halkida, and only 15 kms from Edipsos. The coasts here are really beautiful as you see them from my pictures and the whole area is covered in rich fauna and rich vegetation with beautiful landscapes.
Restaurants and local tavernas are found all over especially by the coastal area. The village is situated in an olive grove and there is a local oil association producing high quality virgin oil.
Some friends who often spend their holidays here in Rovies every summer were telling us of the amazing sunsets and truly as I see these beautiful coasts I can begin to imagine them! There is a Venetian castle which is found here which I was hoping to visit but I took a wrong direction that drove us outside the village. This summer however I plan to come and spend a few days here as it is quite near where we live.
I have heard of paths in the area that I want to walk that lead through rich vegetation, impressive sites of exceptional beauty and ecological importance. I will try to come here even for a weekend this summer.

Peaceful and relaxing it certainly is. The weather looks perfect, but it's probably quite chilly. Do the beaches really get very crowded in the summer?
