I want to exercise this afternoon and I ask Yianni to come along and follow me from the car.

We drive pass the promenade with the ship and boats leaving behind the picturesque Ouzeri tarverns and café bars, and come to the beach.

I get off the car and start walking in a fast pace along the coastal road and I keep walking on the road and Yianni is following me making frequent stops. At first I walk fast while I carry along my camera.

I don't want to miss another sunset and I am anxious to see the magic colors in the sky later on.

When this starts happening I am thrilled! I love to capture scenes/moments that really show the power of nature. I move much slower and continue taking pictures on all the way until I reach the beach of Fygias. I come across a couple of dogs on the way and Yianni is here for me. He is following all this time patiently and I notice him making a phone call and times when he is reading articles from the newspaper. Of course by the time I reach the beach of Fygias it is already dark. The distance I covered was aproximately 5.5 kms.

If it wasn’t dark I would have walked all the way back on foot with pleasure but lamp posts are in distance and  I decide to get in the car where we return to Marmari searching to find somewhere to eat and enjoy a beautiful night outing.

I don’t want to have anything else other than fruit and yoghurt which I already have in the hotel, so we are in search for what Yianni wants to have.

What a fabulous 5 km hike! Now, as Geoff suggests, you have to do a sunrise walk, on the other side of the island of course.

The majority of times I am in beutiful hotels and I wake up much earlier to take my photos....but yes I have never walked and I might do it sometimes.I remember I woke up to walk and take photos of the beautiful sunrise while I was in Latchi in Paphos but the beach was quite far and it was chilly and scary to be out so early!
