THE LAST DAY OF OUR SHORT TRIP……
We are driven to Tripolis in the heart of central Peloponnese, and the capital of Arcadia.
Tripolis is a crowded city, and honestly I would prefer to be driven somewhere else instead. I have been here many times in the past, but generally I try to avoid big cities and crowds. Today, I have no alternative!
Yianni decides to sit at the nearby park and talk with our tour leader who is a friend of ours
We are given one and a half hours to get to know part of the city, so we are all scattered here and there. There are about 15 people who are with me as we move towards the centre and the men expect me to suggest a nice café bar to sit and wait for their wives to finish shopping, and the ladies want me to follow them to the shops. In a very polite way I avoid this, but I do find a nice café for the men to sit and wait. So, the ladies are now shopping, the men are sitting at the café bar, and I am just walking around on my own, entering some churches, doing some window-shopping, and taking photos.
Fifteen minutes or twenty were enough for me, and I return to the café where my friends offer me a glass of fresh orange-juice, while I sat back and enjoyed it, and in the meantime the ladies return.
Luckily all the people who are with us are very typical so it is nice that the exact time we are to leave, everyone is back
