Hiliadou Beach in Evia, Greece
Trip Start May 08, 2010
39Trip End Jan 23, 2011
We get in the car again and drive 11 km towards Hiliadou.
The whole trip is in lush vegetation with pine, plane and fir trees. There is a young couple on a motorbike…..surely I would not want to be in their shoes. They are probably heading for Hiliadou as well.
Yianni keeps complaining as there are not many signs in the road, and I feel pity for the young tourists who will surely get confused.
It is an asphalt roadway throughout the trip, but for the last 6 km.
The scenery throughout the trip is beautiful.
Five hundred metres before the beach road we come to place full of plane trees
We move on to the beach and ……oh yes here we are.
This is Hiliadou beach for sure!
Yes, there are some hotels and many restaurants along the coastal road. The scenery is awesome, but although I have my swimming suit on I am not in the mood of swimming today.
It is just photos I want to take instead!
There is a dead end where the rocks are, and there is a car park.
Many people who are swimming scattered throughout the whole beach further away from the rocks have parked their cars on the side of the road.
We move towards the rocks and believe me the view is just awesome!
Just under the car park there is a nudists' beach with a few tents.
I was taking photos and a video when my eyes caught sight of a couple who is sunbathing enjoying the morning sun and beauty of their surroundings just a few metres away.
Tip: The trip from Steni Evias is much shorter than coming from Kymi. (90 minute drive, -while from Steni it is 45 minutes).
