After about 9 thousand miles of traveling and countless worries about the upcoming semester, it's here. I'm here at least. Classes started Yesterday at the University of Botswana here in Gaborone. I hit a streak of luck and am staying with one of the nicest host families in the universe. I only grew up alone with my dad primarily, So having a family dynamic so far is pretty fun. I still can't call my host dad "dad" though. It's just something I'll have to try to get used to.

In terms of Travel, Gaborone is sweet. The weather is colder than I would like, but it reminds me of home so I welcome it(most of the time). I feel different than I did my first couple weeks in Tanzania. It's almost like traveling here was more of a homecoming. I recognized the similarities between Dar es Salaam and Gaborone, then the differences. I feel like staying here will get some taking used to, but I like to think I'm adaptable. It's a big group two(21 students!) so I have a lot of people to talk to while I become Motswana-American.

The school is really nice, and I feel like I'll get used to the commute after a few(hundred) trips. It's interesting to think that I just got home and I'm already gone again. I feel like I'm always saying goodbye now-a-days. I'm going to try to make the best of this trip for that sake. So determined to take another blow at understanding the complexity of culture in Africa. I'm here.

Soon I'll write a large article with few pictures, this time I'll do the opposite.

Thanks for reading. :)
