So it's been ten days in Illinois. It’s been good and I got to see my family. I could complain a lot about the lack of diversity and how they call Carl’s Jr. "Hardies" here, but I’ll keep it on the positive. I’ve been sleeping a ton and eating good food. I met a ton of relatives that I guess knew me when I was little. Everyone has bitchin southern accents (guess it makes sense why I can fake one so perfectly).
The highlight of everything (and the point of the whole trip to begin with) was spending time with my mom and my sister. We went to a zoo that had a lot of depressed animals in Indiana (I would be depressed too if I lived there, it was cold as s***!). I found out I have the ability to whistle at emu’s and make them come to me, it didn’t work on the lion, but it worked on the sheep, swag. Anyway, I had about the most conventional family Christmas I could imagine (We watched lord of the rings, tis the season, this isn’t sarcasm) so I would call the trip a success! All I gotta do now is fly back to Cali and scramble for recourses before I take off to Tanzania.
On an off note, I found out I have a cousin who is going to be in Tanzania in February, he said he’s climbing Mt.Kilimanjaro. I’m pretty surprised that I’m gonna have family in the same country as me, and I wouldn’t even of known if I didn’t come here. I guess we probably won’t be able to hang out though because the mountain is a ways away from the city and neither of us have cars or anything. But I’m crossing my fingers that I find a motorcycle or something, I’m so down to follow them up there and reach the summit (I just need to get 9 days off school and money and stuff).
Anyway I got things to do and people to start awkward confersations with.
