Let me fill you in on what we have been up to, apart from many drunken nights out involving many drinking games - as always.

Last weekend we decided to go surfing before the weather got too cold. We booked a package deal for accommodation, food and tuition from proper surfer dudes, which was really cheap.

We set off on the 3 hr trip from Sydney on Friday to Seal Rocks, on a cool mini bus with the music blaring. The road to surf camp was a little bumpy and we had to off road a couple of times and it felt like the bus was about to crumble apart, as it wasn't the newest bus you have eva seen.

The surf camp ws in the middle of nowhere. We were staying in wooden cabins, unfortunately the toilets in the cabin weren't working so we had to walk thro the mud to the showers and toilets. This was especially scary in the ladies as 2 redback spiders lived there. However we made our peace with them and decided to be friends for the weekend. There was a big common area with massive T.V's and comfy couches, the group we were with were really friendly, most of them were from America.

The next day we started early at 7am with a big breakfast then straight to the beach. We had a brief lesson on how to surf back to shore without standing up- this was supposed to be easy. The waves seemed to get bigger as you got closer to the water we tried to get out passed the surf which was quite difficult as the waves were really powerful. For the life of me could I get back to shore with out getting wiped out, it was horrible - had sand everywhere and hurt all over. The instructor thank god decided these waves were a little big for us so after lunch we went to a beach with smaller waves, which was were I eventually reached shore. The beached were beautiful and even tho it is supposed to be winter over here I still have a pink face and the water was v warm.

That night we all had a BBQ and played drinking games in the big common area, however I had to sneak off to bed as I was that shattered, surfing really takes it out of you. However graeme came in drunk with our friend Laura and decided to take pic's of me asleep and then snored v loud all night. (doh)

The next day I woke everyone up- as I was the only one without a hangover and we set off again passing a few wild Kanagroos and Wallabys on the way.

We were a lot more successful today, but decided to stay in the surf after being wiped out again with the surf board hitting my face in the bigger waves. I managed to stand up 5 times with the aid of Graeme pushing me onto the waves, as it took a lot of strength to actually get the surfboard to catch the smaller waves. I was a lot more confident then and really started to enjoy it. Graeme also did well standing for a few seconds before hitting the sea bed (OHH) and he tried more in the bigger waves which scared us girls too much.

We arrived home with lots of bumps and aches, but we had a blast and have learnt all the surfer lingo - dude. We are even thinking of hiring of our surf boards when the weather is good to try and progress a little more - Sweet.

Anyway Dudes update you again soon
